Greenfield Retirement Home reveals new logo

You could feel the excitement at Greenfield as all the residents and employees waited to see their new logo.

It was kept a secret until their logo launch party on Friday afternoon. Due to COVID-19 precautions, it was a private event for the residents and employees. However, they did stream it live on Facebook for the community to enjoy.

Greenfield has been providing exceptional care to area seniors since 1911. The retirement home originally began as the “Adeline Prouty Old Ladies Home” from a trust established by Adeline E. Prouty.

On Dec. 1, 1911, they welcomed their first residents at 508 Park Avenue E., Princeton, Ill. In the 1970′s, the Field Trust merged into the Prouty Trust. The Field Trust was established by Clement V. Field in 1948 to provide a retirement home for men. Greenfield is still owned and operated by the Adeline E. Prouty Trust.

When speaking to the administrator, Lynn Olds, about the new logo she said, “A lot of thought went into the design. We wanted something that would capture the character and history of Greenfield while showing we are moving into the future. Since 1911, we have provided loving, personalized care in a family atmosphere. We will continue to build on that foundation to maximize the quality of life and independence for the people who live here.”

The logo was selected by the leadership team at Greenfield and the board of trustees. The board of trustees consists of William Benecke, Gary Bruce, Chuck Hanson, Tim Harris and Pete Nelson.
